Amish Crafted Custom Pole Barns
Slabs, Pads & Aprons

Pole Barn Concrete Services in Ohio

Concrete floors, pads, and aprons built to support your post-frame building. Properly graded, reinforced, and finished slabs that protect your investment and extend the building's usable life.

Concrete & Foundations Built Around Your Property

A well-built concrete floor turns a pole barn shell into a usable, long-lasting space. We pour concrete slabs, approach aprons, and pads engineered for the loads the building will carry — from light storage to heavy machinery. Proper sub-base preparation, reinforcement, and finish are what keep a slab from cracking and settling over time.

We handle the concrete as part of the building project or as a standalone service for owners managing their own build. Either way, the slab is planned for drainage, door thresholds, and the equipment that will sit on it.

FAQ

Concrete Questions Answered

Do I need a concrete floor in my pole barn?

No, a slab is optional. Post-frame buildings are anchored with treated posts, so the shell stands without a full slab. Many owners add a slab for usability or pour one later. We can include it in the project or pour it standalone.

How thick should a pole barn concrete floor be?

For light storage and garages, a 4" slab is typical. For machinery, vehicles, or heavy equipment, we recommend 6" with appropriate reinforcement. We size the slab to your intended use.

Will my concrete crack?

All concrete can develop hairline cracks, but proper sub-base preparation, reinforcement, control joints, and drainage greatly reduce cracking and settling. We plan for these from the start.

Can you pour just an apron without a full floor?

Yes. We pour approach aprons and thresholds at doors even when an owner manages their own interior slab. Aprons protect the door threshold and improve drainage.

Do you pour concrete for someone else's building?

Yes. We provide standalone concrete slabs and pads for owners managing their own post-frame construction, engineered for the building loads.

Is the concrete included in the building quote?

Concrete is typically a separate line item from the building shell so you can choose the level that fits your budget. We break it out clearly in your estimate.
