Custom Pole Barns Built Around Your Property
A pole barn is a post-frame structure built with treated laminated posts set into the ground rather than a traditional continuous foundation. That framing method uses fewer materials, goes up faster, and still produces a building strong enough to handle Ohio snow loads, wind, and decades of daily use. We build custom pole barns for storage, workshops, livestock, equipment, and multipurpose use across Southwest Ohio and the surrounding region.
Every building starts with your property and your requirements. We help you size the building, choose a roof pitch, place doors for clear access, and select steel colors that fit the surroundings. Because the frame is flexible by design, you can add lean-tos, porches, interior rooms, or extra height without re-engineering the whole structure.
Protect tractors, trailers, and implements from weather with tall clear-span interiors.
Combine vehicles, tools, feed, and seasonal storage in one efficient footprint.
Add a dedicated, climate-controllable area for woodworking, mechanics, or fabrication.
Lean-tos and porches can be planned from day one or added later as needs grow.

What Affects the Cost of a Pole Barns
We don't publish generic price lists because every building is custom. These are the factors that shape your estimate. For a detailed guide to Ohio pole barn pricing, see our cost resource.
Ohio Pricing GuideSquare footage and eave height are the biggest single drivers of cost.
Steeper pitches and gambrel roofs require more truss material and labor.
Each overhead, sliding, or walk door adds material and install time.
A poured slab and apron is a separate line item from the shell.
Condensation barrier, batt, or conditioned interiors raise the price.
Leveling, grading, and access affect labor and equipment costs.

Pole Barns Questions Answered
How long does it take to build a pole barn?
Most residential pole barns are framed and weather-tight within one to two weeks once materials are delivered and the site is prepared. Concrete and final trim add time depending on weather and scheduling. We give you a clear timeline in your written estimate.
Do I need a concrete foundation?
No. Post-frame buildings are anchored with treated posts set in the ground, so a full concrete slab is optional. Many owners add a slab later. We can pour the slab and apron as part of the project if you prefer.
How wide can a pole barn be without interior posts?
We build clear-span buildings up to 80' and wider with engineered trusses. Above that range, interior posts or a different truss layout may be required for snow and wind loads in Ohio.
Can I customize the building later?
Yes. Lean-tos, porches, interior partitions, lofts, and additional doors can be planned in the original design or added in a future phase. Mention your long-term plans when you request a quote.
Do you handle building permits?
We build to local code and help you understand permit requirements for your area. Permit rules vary by county and township in Ohio, so we confirm the specifics for your project ZIP code during estimating.
What is the best size for general storage?
A 30' x 40' building is our most popular all-purpose size — large enough for vehicles, a workshop area, and equipment, with room to grow. For small lots, a 24' x 32' is a compact alternative.
